Tintin arrived in June 2018 at the Sanctuary when he was 4 months old. We were told he had been lying on the ground for twelve hours when he was found abandoned. Fortunately a thorough exam by our vet showed that he had no injuries.
He was initially very shy and would not play or socialize with the other monkeys his age. Slowly, he began adjusting to his new home environment and formed a close bond with the other juveniles; Amarula, Marvin, Greyson and Pippi.
As he has aged Tintin has begun to show more dominant characteristics, and with Greyson became too rough with Amarula and Marvin. To avoid any confrontations, we moved Tintin and Greyson to our large final stage habitat, where they will stay until they are ready for release at the end of this year.
